Schelle Thomas -

President

Schelle Thomas, owner of All Seasons Sport About, has served on the Williston Downtowners Association Board of Directors since 2023 and currently serves as President. Schelle is actively involved in supporting and giving back to the Williston community, helping to lead initiatives that promote downtown vibrancy. She participates on key committees such as Summer Nights on Main and the Art & Wine Walk, working to highlight the unique character and businesses of Downtown Williston.

Rochelle Villa - Secretary

Rochelle has served on the Williston Downtowners Association Board for the past three years. As a Marketing Officer at American State Bank & Trust Company, she brings valuable experience in marketing, business development, communications, and public relations.

Motivated by a desire to be more involved in the community, Rochelle joined the board to help strengthen local connections and support events such as Summer Nights on Main. She looks forward to continuing her personal and professional growth while contributing to the success and vibrancy of Downtown Williston. 

Angela Skogen -

Board Member

Angela has been involved with the Williston Downtowners Association since the beginning, and even when she has not been on the board, she has been dedicated to the organization. Angela is also the owner of Cooks on Main located in Downtown Williston. 

Angela’s pride in Downtown and support of local businesses, and the desire to bring people to the area is what drove her to become a part of the WDA. She is excited to be back on the Board of Directors this year to help plan and be a part of WDA events like Crazy Days and Summer Nights on Main.

Letty Villarreal -

Board Member

With more than 20 years of experience as a property manager, Letty Villarreal brings strong leadership and strategic planning skills to the Williston Downtowners Association Board. Her deep connection to downtown—where her office is located—fuels her passion for showcasing local businesses and helping the community thrive.

Since joining the board less than a year ago, Letty has been actively involved in a variety of association events, including Summer Nights, Trail of Treats, Art & Wine, and the Hotdish Fest. She takes pride in being part of every effort that brings people together and highlights all that Williston’s downtown has to offer.

Letty’s goal is to continue encouraging community participation, building sponsorships for future events, and contributing positively alongside her fellow board members. She believes in creating a welcoming downtown experience for everyone — families, visitors, and locals alike.

Outside of work, Letty loves spending time with her grandbabies, enjoying summer days at the lake, and reading. Family is at the heart of everything she does, and she’s passionate about helping create events and experiences that reflect that same spirit of togetherness in downtown Williston.

Jeffery Garaas -

Board Member

Jeffery Garaas is the Chief Information Officer at First State Bank & Trust, bringing over 20 years of experience in information technology. Since joining the bank in 2018, he has focused on transforming and enhancing IT operations, including IT governance, service management, and leading strategic technology initiatives.

A new member of the Williston Downtowners Association Board, Jeffery joined to serve and give back to the community. He has contributed to events such as Summer Nights on Main and is committed to supporting the ongoing success of initiatives that provide meaningful benefits to downtown Williston and its residents.

Lacey Dixon -

Board Member

Lacey is the co-owner of Fresh Palate and The Empty Bobbin in downtown Williston. She has been with the WDA for years and decided to rejoin the Board of Directors this year.

Lacey always wanted to own a shop downtown, and in 2014 that happened when she and her business partner, Taryn, opened Fresh Palate, then The Empty Bobbin in 2021. Lacey is excited to help with events like the Holiday Stroll and be active in the Downtowners again this year!

In general, she loves being an active part of the community of Williston by volunteering with her church, and supporting other small businesses.

Amy Liebel-

Board Member

Amy Liebel serves as the Chief Operations Officer at the Western Education Regional Coop (WERC), where she supports schools and educators across the region through instructional leadership and professional development. With over a decade of experience in education, Amy has taught both elementary and middle school in Williston and holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership with a focus on technology instruction.

In her role at WERC, Amy works closely with teachers and administrators to enhance classroom instruction, provide meaningful feedback, and develop systems that make teaching and learning more effective. She is passionate about mentoring educators, fostering collaboration, and helping schools use data and technology to strengthen student success.

A new member of the Williston Downtowners Association Board, Amy brings her leadership background, organizational skills, and love of community to her role. She is excited to help support downtown growth, plan engaging community events, and promote Williston as a thriving, connected place to live and do business.

Amy’s connection to Williston runs deep—she moved across the country over a decade ago to pursue her dream of teaching and has since made the city her home. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family, traveling, visiting zoos, and enjoying time on the water. Most of all, she enjoys being an active and involved mom, cheering on her kids in all their activities.

Leann Esterby -

Board Member

Leann Esterby is the owner of LJ’s Menswear and Black Tie Rentals and Alterations, where she combines her background in retail and accounting with a strong passion for serving the local community. A dedicated team player and goal-oriented professional, Leann brings both business expertise and enthusiasm for collaboration to the board.

As a new board member, Leann is motivated by her love for her hometown and her desire to help keep downtown Williston thriving. She believes that the heart of the community lies in its downtown businesses and is committed to promoting and supporting the local shops and events that make the area unique.

Leann has already been involved with the Art and Wine Committee and looks forward to contributing new ideas and energy to create more events and business opportunities downtown. Her goal is to help ensure that the downtown district remains a vibrant and flourishing hub for residents and visitors alike.

Amy Krueger - Ex-Officio

Amy Krueger is the Executive Director of the Williston Convention & Visitor Bureau, where she brings extensive experience in destination marketing, community events, and city planning. For over a decade, Amy has served as a member of the Williston Downtowners Association, contributing her expertise in event logistics, marketing, and coordination to help downtown thrive.

Throughout her time on the board, Amy has been involved in nearly every event in some capacity, often working behind the scenes to ensure smooth execution. She values the importance of a vibrant downtown as a key part of Williston’s identity, both for residents and visitors. Her goal is to continue supporting the growth of events and initiatives that bring people downtown and strengthen the community experience.

Amy is passionate about helping the board maintain and improve long-standing events, while also embracing opportunities to evolve and adapt what works best for the community. She serves as a reliable resource for historical context, logistics, and practical support for association activities.

Outside of her professional work, Amy enjoys supporting her husband’s softball adventures and travel, as well as staying connected to all things Williston.

Bre Staal - Ex-Officio

Bre Staal is the owner of Lilac Lane in Downtown Williston, and has been a great member to the Downtowners Board. 

She says that one of the reasons her family decided to make Williston their forever home is the community. She said that she has never lived in a place that puts such a priority on events and activities to bring families and neighbors together as Williston does. For Bre, it is important for her to contribute to making sure the wonderful things about Williston get the support needed to keep thriving, which is what inspired her to join the WDA.

Bre says one of her favorite things about downtown is the community of small business owners that are very invested in the well-being of Williston and the people that call it home.

Zoe Botz - Administrator

Zoe Botz is the Administrator for the Williston Downtowners Association, bringing a diverse background in education, mentorship, and community service. She has worked as a paraprofessional and youth mentor at a residential treatment center, and holds an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology.

Zoe joined the board in September and actively works with all committees, contributing her motivation, drive, and fresh perspective from her experiences in other communities. Having participated in numerous events in her hometown, she is excited to bring new ideas to help downtown Williston grow and thrive.

Outside of work, Zoe enjoys reading and traveling, having explored much of the western United States as well as several southern states. She recently purchased a home in the area and looks forward to continuing to support and see the community and its events flourish.
